My journey in education began in 2001 where I taught third grade in Stockton Unified. A few years later I moved to Southern California and continued teaching kindergarten. This allowed me to understand the foundational skills students need as they progress through the grade levels.
Once again an opportunity arose and I experienced the publishing side of education. I traveled the United States and trained teachers on how to use a mathematics and phonics program. This was a great opportunity where I met teachers, administrators, and many others within education.

Then, I decided to change roles and worked in sales for the publishing company. Life threw me a curveball and I returned back to Lodi with my amazing parents and brother.
I eventually landed teaching positions back in the Stockton area where I taught 4th-7th graders in various settings. I spent my first year teaching at John McCandless STEM Charter School during the 2017/2018 school year. I am beyond excited to be back in the primary grades.

Personally, I have two dogs Piper and Lulu. They are my babies :) They love to swim. I enjoy being with my family and friends. I enjoy the outdoors, which includes paddle boarding, tennis, golf, and of course walks with Piper and Lulu. I also enjoy crafting and relaxing by the pool.

I am looking forward to starting the 2020-2021 school year on August 6th.
